Writing

Writing was the key to everything. I discovered that I loved to write before I really knew what to write about. Eventually journalism presented itself as a possible writing career, and I fell in love with it too. In this section, you can find a few samples of my journalistic writing. There are feature, breaking news and opinion pieces. Just click below and have a look.

Photography

Though most of my experience is independent, my curiosity as a content producer and late found love for photography have granted me the opportunity to shoot in many different situations. From breaking news in Northern California, rock & roll gigs in Tijuana, the muddy grounds of the Amazon Jungle, and the passion-filled streets of Moscow during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, I've been lucky enough to experience a wide-range of situations.

Travel

I've gotten used to traveling with a camera in my hand, though trying to keep my balance in a small boat on the Amazon River or watching my step in crowded urban areas weren't easy experiences. This section is dedicated to travel photography, with photos that were taken during the first half of 2016 while I was traveling in Colombia.

News

News, particularly breaking news, was my introduction to photography and photojournalism. Like for many beginning photographers, much of my work during this period was still developing. Still, there are a few shots that I treasure.

Sports

Professionally, I haven't had much experience with sports photography. But, when the opportunity presents itself, I like to grab my camera and have a try. The following are photos shot in Moscow, Russia and Paris, France during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The collection of photos are largely depictions of the passion the world sport inspires in people and not the athletes themselves, thought there are a couple of wide shots of World Cup matches.

Arts and Entertainment

Along with travel photography, arts and entertainment events are perhaps some of my favorite to shoot. Though lighting can at times be a challenge, when you get things right, there is always the potential for some great photos. The following are photographs from an underground music festival in Tijuana in 2015, as well as urban art from Medellín and Bogotá.
